BREAKING: Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has Been Canceled for Hurricane Milton

Ahead of Hurricane Milton’s expected landfall this week, Walt Disney World has announced several closures across the resort. One of the major announcements was for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, which was originally planned for October 10.

Mickey Mouse, in his new costume, is dressed in a green suit with pink accents and a purple top hat, posing in front of red curtains with gold trim.

The event, which was set to be held Thursday night at Magic Kingdom, has been canceled. Guests with tickets to the event will be fully refunded.

Disney has shared the following message via the Disney Travel Agents website:

Due to updates surrounding Hurricane Milton, all theme park closures and event cancellations, including Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party on October 10, are confirmed. Event tickets will be refunded.

“It is likely the theme parks will remain closed on Thursday, Oct. 10. We will consider opening Disney Springs Thursday late afternoon with limited offerings. This includes the cancellation of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom on Oct. 10. Event tickets will be refunded.”

Dancers in vintage costumes twirl down the lit street at night, a castle looming majestically in the background—a scene reminiscent of Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party before Hurricane Milton canceled festivities.

This marks the second Halloween party canceled due to a hurricane, with Hurricane Helene causing the event to be canceled in September.
