Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Mural

A rustic wooden building with a pointed roof stands behind a construction wall at Disneyland. Nearby, a large red barrel rests on an elevated platform, while a tree sways gently under the clear blue sky, hinting at the magic of Tiana's Bayou Adventure soon to come.

The facade is still behind walls, so the full mural can’t be seen yet. It was supposed to be the same as the mural on the barn at Magic Kingdom, but differences can be seen even in just this small glimpse.

Designed by Malaika Favorite, the mural is meant to evoke the colorful artwork found on buildings around New Orleans. A Louisiana local, Favorite was selected by Disney to design the mural to “maintain the authenticity of Princess Tiana’s experience as a young Black woman striving to achieve her dream in New Orleans.”

A vibrant character mural featuring animals and people graces the wooden structure under large outdoor lights, reminiscent of Tiana's Bayou Adventure at Disneyland.

The mural is a collage that depicts Tiana’s journey as a young professional developing the Tiana’s Foods co-op, helping to tell the ride’s story and bridge the gap between “The Princess and the Frog” and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Louis can be seen in the top left.
