The Figment popcorn bucket, which debuted during the 2022 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts is now available with a new strap at Shanghai Disneyland.
Figment Popcorn Bucket
The iconic Figment popcorn bucket is back! Instagram user usshoppingsos shared an exclusive look at the popular popcorn bucket at its new home in Shanghai Disneyland. The popcorn bucket is the same as those that were previously available at Walt Disney World. Figment has his hands crossed in front of his body. His fingernails and toenails are both red. His mouth is open with a joyful smile.
However, the popcorn bucket does have one different feature: a new strap.
The strap features various images of Figment’s face against colorful backgrounds. While these squares are the same as those found on the 2022 popcorn bucket, there is now a long purple rectangle with “Figment” in yellow. This replaces a smaller square that previously depicted the Walt Disney World 50th anniversary logo.

During the 2022 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, the Figment popcorn bucket caused hysteria among diehard fans of the purple dragon. On the day of the bucket’s release, lines reached over seven hours.
The item sold out quickly, and when Disney restocked it, they created a mobile order checkout specifically for the popcorn bucket.
The popular item returned for the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts in 2023. The bucket was identical to the one from 2022, but it featured a new EPCOT 40th anniversary strap.
During the 2024 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, the original popcorn bucket was replaced by an Imagination Pavilion Figment popcorn bucket.
