On select nights at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, guests can see the Tree of Life Awakenings projections at the park’s icon. There’s a new Mufasa Tree of Life Awakenings show in celebration of “Mufasa: The Lion King” which releases in theaters on December 20, 2024.

Mufasa Tree of Life Awakenings

The Tree of Life Awakenings begin at dusk, roughly around 6:00 p.m. each evening. They run about every ten minutes, though the Mufasa one is interspersed with the returning winter-themed shows.

Disney’s description of the show reads, “…experience the wonder of the Lion King and the story of Mufusa. Mystical animal images and a new musical score tell the story of Mufasa’s unlikely rise to become the beloved king of the Pride Lands.”
