The fan-favorite attraction opened in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom on January 15, 1975 and quickly became an icon of the park. Each of these have their differences, but guests all over the world still get to experience rocketing through the darkness of space. Tokyo Disneyland’s Space Mountain closed this summer to make way for a new Space Mountain experience opening in 2027.

WDWNT celebrated the anniversary and 30 years of “New” Tomorrowland with our “Promising Tomorrows” event. Current and former Disney Imagineers, some of which worked on Space Mountain, attended and spoke at the event.

Guests attending the Club 33 exclusive event were also treated to special character meet and greets with Stitch and several other of Jumba’s experiments.
