Disney Parks has uploaded a new video to their official YouTube channel showing off a first look at “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure,” coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios later this month.

In the video, Jodi Benson, the voice of Ariel from the animated film, surprises the cast of the show before going behind the scenes of the new production.
In addition to interviews with the production team, the video also shares our first glimpse at the show’s stage, puppetry, performers, and more.
These include first looks at the puppets for Max, various undersea creatures, Sebastian, and Ursula, plus the show’s use of motion capture and other graphical elements. One performer we did not get to see, however, was the person in the role of Ariel.
The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure will debut at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on May 27, 2025 — the same day as Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After.
