Certainly, there are a lot of hot alcoholic drinks at Walt Disney World at this time of year, and certainly a number of those are made with hot cocoa. With that being said, I believe we have found the very best…
Near the monorail station on the second floor of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa’s lobby, you’ll find this small kiosk that is only open in the evening. The kiosk has a limited menu, but one you’ll want to take a peek at…
Not only is there a Toasted Marshmallow-flavor Hot Chocolate, but they also make it with Vanilla Vodka. If wine is more your style, then you’ll want to try the Warm Holiday Spiced Wine.
Toasted Marshmallow Hot Chocolate with Vanilla Vodka ($9.00)
I am not joking when I say this is the best hot chocolate I have ever had in my entire life. The blend of the vodka with the flavored hot chocolate is magical, mixed with the added presence of a large marshmallow (not Mini Marshmallows as advertised), whipped cream and sprinkles. This offering puts the alcoholic hot cocoa flight at Hollywood Studios to shame. It was so good that I drank it a little too fast and I can feel the burn damage to my tongue as I sit down to write this 10 hours later.
Warm Holiday Spiced Wine ($9.00)
I am not usually a warm wine drinker, but this was pretty enjoyable. The person I was with went as far as to claim it as the best warm wine they had ever had. A lot of hot spiced wine is a little sharp on your throat, but this was really well balanced and smooth, but still with a robust flavor.
So, for cold weather and warm hearts at Walt Disney World this holiday season, you’ll want to stop by Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. While you’re there, be sure to check out the famous decorations and take in a holiday set from the magnificent Grand Floridian Society Orchestra. Cheers!
Yummy… Do they have children discounts so the kids can drunk along with mommy and daddy?
Nice touch is Mickey and Minnie Christmas Carolers figures on the table right next to the Booze warmers.
My thoughts exactly.
Is it only for xmas Time? Do you know if in January 5-12 it Will still be available?
Another boring and unfunny review by Tom Careless
Never heard that one before… also owners usually don’t fire themselves, especially when traffic keeps going up.
I love your reviews and articles.. it helps me stay connected to my happy place..
Well, it looks like you post all comments. Good for you! Do your other authors edit or veto the comments on their own stories, or do you edit or veto for the whole site?
I was just at GF on the 12th, but must have left before they brought the hot cocoa out by the monorail station. I would have liked to try the vanilla vodka one. I enjoyed the hot coca trio at Fairfax Fair.
Why does someone always have an issue with alcoholic drinks at WDW?! WDW is for adults too and it’s completely acceptable to enjoy a few drinks while on vacation, especially holiday drinks.
