Dozens of Disney PhotoPass Magic Shots are available for “Cool Kid Summer” at Walt Disney World.
WDWNT got a first look at a Magic Shot photo guide plus two special Magic Shots for “Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After” and the live-action “Lilo & Stitch.”
Magic Shots digitally insert an image, usually of a character, into your photo. The shots available this summer include both new and returning options.
Magic Mirror Magic Shot
Inspired by the new Disney’s Hollywood Studios stage show, this Magic Shot adds the Magic Mirror with shards of broken glass reflecting the faces of Disney Villains.
Live-Action Stitch Magic Shots
This shot lets guests hula with the live-action version of Stitch. It’s available at the Disney PhotoPass Studio in Disney Springs and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
Another Magic Shot has Stitch sit on a bench next to you. This one is available in the following locations:
- Along Hollywood and Sunset Boulevard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- On the bridges leading from Cinderella Castle into Fantasyland and Tomorrowland, and by Pinocchio Village Haus at Magic Kingdom Park
- At the Disney PhotoPass Studio at Disney Springs
- At Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
It’s also available at Disneyland Resort by Sleeping Beauty Castle and in Disney California Adventure on Buena Vista Street and in Hollywood Land.
This example of the Stitch Photobomb Magic Shot is from Disneyland, but it’s also available at Walt Disney World. In Disneyland, find it at the main entrance of the park and near Sleeping Beauty Castle. In Disney California Adventure, it’s on Buena Vista Street, by the Cloud Wall, on the Pixar Pier Bridge, and near the waterfall by Grizzly Peak.
It’s at these Walt Disney World locations:
- Across from Feathered Friends in Flight! and next to Discovery River as you head towards Expedition Everest from Yak & Yeti Restaurant at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park
- At the main entrance of EPCOT, to the left and right-hand sides
- With most photographers on Sunset Boulevard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- With most photographers on Main Street, U.S.A., and leading up towards Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom Park
- Near the AMC Disney Springs 24 Dine-In Theatres
Magic Kingdom Magic Shots
The guidebook includes a map of each park with numbers corresponding to each Magic Shot’s location. Returning Magic Kingdom shots include Tinker Bell on Main Street, Hitchhiking Ghosts at The Haunted Mansion, and Tiana by Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
Other Magic Kingdom Magic Shots feature Pua (Adventureland), Lumiere (outside Be Our Guest), Luisa (Adventureland), and Olaf (Tomorrowland entrance).
EPCOT Magic Shots
EPCOT offers the returning Runaway Remy (in front of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure), Guardians of the Galaxy Jump Point (in front of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind), Mirabel (World Celebration Gardens), Bruni (Frozen Ever After exit), Hank from “Finding Dory” (outside The Seas With Nemo & Friends), and Ocean Wave (Journey of Water, Inspired by “Moana”) Magic Shots.
A Daisy Duck Magic Shot is new, featuring the fashionable duck on the bridge outside the Italy pavilion.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios Magic Shots
In Disney’s Hollywood Studios, guests can get a Magic Shot with Chip from “Beauty and the Beast” on Sunset Boulevard. A new Donald Duck Magic Shot is available in the center of the park, in front of Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway. At the Toy Story Land entrance is a Green Army Man Magic Shot.
There are Magic Shots featuring Grogu (between Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and Toy Story Land), a Porg (in front of the A-Wing in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge), Edna Mode (Pixar Plaza), and Baby Animal of the Muppets (Sunset Boulevard).
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Magic Shots
The returning Disney’s Animal Kingdom Magic Shots are Kevin on Discovery Island, “The Lion King” characters on Discovery Island, Pascal on the Discovery Island bridge, Kaa at the Asia entrance, WALL-E and EVE between Asia and Africa, Bambi at the main entrance, and a Banshee in Pandora – The World of Avatar.
