Marvel’s ‘Ironheart’ Adds Disney+ Release Schedule, All Episodes Being Dropped Within 2 Weeks

As the official premiere date of Marvel’s newest series, “Ironheart,” draws nearer, Disney has posted the full episode release schedule.

Both Marvel Studios and Disney have shared a new Instagram post featuring the full episode release schedule for the upcoming series “Ironheart.” The series was first rumored to be in production all the way back in 2019, though the first actual footage was not shown to audiences until D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in 2024.

The series stars Dominique Thorne, who first debuted as the character Riri Williams in “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.” The cast also includes Anthony Ramos as Parker Robbins / The Hood. The description provided by Marvel for the series reads:

Set after the events of “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” Marvel Television’s “Ironheart” pits technology against magic when Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne)—a young, genius inventor determined to make her mark on the world—returns to her hometown of Chicago. Her unique take on building iron suits is brilliant, but in pursuit of her ambitions, she finds herself wrapped up with the mysterious yet charming Parker Robbins aka “The Hood” (Anthony Ramos).

A notebook lists Ironheart episode titles and Release Schedule, surrounded by sketches, dice, and tech gadgets on a desk.

The post included an image that the description explains is supposed to be Riri’s notebook. Beside sketches of what looks like an early design for Riri’s Iron Man-inspired suit is a page titled “Episode Guide” with a list of all six episode titles, along with their release dates. The episodes are called:

  • “Take Me Home”
  • “Will the Real Natalie Please Stand Up?”
  • “We in Danger, Girl”
  • “Bad Magic”
  • “Karma’s A Glitch”
  • “The Past is the Past”

What’s more interesting, however, is the included release schedule. According to this post, “Ironheart” will be taking a group-release approach similar to the second season of “Andor” by dropping the first three episodes on June 24. The remaining three episodes will also be dropped all at once on July 1.

A large crowd attends a Marvel Television event showcasing the upcoming series "Ironheart," with images of the protagonist displayed on a wide stage screen. The excitement was palpable as fans eagerly anticipated every reveal, like watching an epic auto draft unfold in real-time.

The choice to completely release the entire six-episode series within the span of two weeks has raised some interesting online discourse. Some are simply wondering if the success of “Andor” has lead Disney to experiment further with releasing more episodes in bulk, as opposed to one per week. Others are being more negative, claiming Disney is already expecting the series to fare poorly, and dropping all the episodes near each other is a way to keep audiences engaged.

One other interesting aspect of this post is not related to the episode releases, but a small detail in the design. The letter “M” in the episode title for “Karma’s A Glitch” has been shadowed in red pen, unlike all of the other letters on the sheet. While there has been no confirmation what this detail could possibly reference, fans continue to speculate from a general “Marvel” reference to the appearance of a new character, such as the long-rumored Mephisto.

“Ironheart” is set to premiere on Disney+ with its first three episodes on June 24. You can watch the official trailer below:
