A recent change to the snack carts in Disney’s Animal Kingdom has replaced the Olaf Frozen Lemonade Strawberry Bar with a new Frollies Watermelon Fruity Ice Pop.
Olaf Replaced by New Watermelon Ice Pop

In a recent change to several of the snack locations at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the previous Olaf Frozen Lemonade Strawberry Bar has been replaced by a Frollies Watermelon Fruity Ice Pop. Frollies is a third-party company not owned by Disney, and the same iced pops are available from several grocery retailers such as Walmart and Target.
The Frollies Watermelon Fruity Ice Pop is sold for $6 plus tax and is currently marked as a snack on the Disney Dining Plan.
The reason for the replacement is due to what the nearby Cast Members called supply issues. Apparently several snack carts and kiosks in Disney’s Animal Kingdom ran out of the Olaf Bar, and the new Watermelon Pop has been added as a similarly fruit-flavored replacement. The new pop will likely be added to most of the locations in the park as the Olaf Bar runs out, and we spotted it at several different locations already.

According to the brand’s website, the Frollies Watermelon Fruity Ice Pop contains no artificial colors or sweeteners. It is flavored like real watermelon, and our reporter noted that the “seeds” of the watermelon are made of small chocolate pieces. It is important to note that the pop is not made purely of fruit juice, and it does contain both milk and soy ingredients.

We did confirm that other locations around Walt Disney World, such as the EPCOT snack cart pictured above, still have the Olaf Frozen Lemonade Strawberry Bar as usual. It appears that the supply issue is mostly limited to Disney’s Animal Kingdom for now, though it may become more widespread depending on the amount of Olaf Bars left in storage.
The Cast Members in Disney’s Animal Kingdom did imply that the Olaf Bar will be returning at some point, but had no estimated timeline for when the supply issues will be resolved. They were also unable to confirm whether the Watermelon Pop is a permanent addition to the menu, or if there will be other temporary treats while the Olaf Bar is missing.
