Hot Wheels Collector sets honoring this year’s anniversaries of “Jaws” and “Back to the Future” are coming soon to Mattel Creations.
Hot Wheels 50th Anniversary Jaws Set – $32

In honor of the “Jaws” 50th Anniversary, Mattel has replicated a highly detailed die-cast version of the Orca complete with a mini-figure on the deck, and a die-cast shark that’s about to attack.

The boat and shark sit in molded plastic waves. The Orca fishing boat is a replica of the one from the 1975 film.

The “Jaws” 50th Anniversary outer flap and window box feature period-correct graphics along with a removable pop-up poster inside. The removable poster is of the iconic scene when Orca is sinking after being attacked by Bruce.

The packaging art recreates the 1970s style along with stylized images of the Orca and JAWS50 logo.
June 20 is the actual 50th anniversary date of “Jaws.” The blockbuster was the highest-grossing movie of all time when it was released on June 20, 1975. Universal Parks are honoring the milestone anniversary with special merchandise, a shark-shaped sipper, and special dishes. A “Little Amity” pop-up in the San Francisco area of Universal Studios Florida honors the park’s defunct Amity Island area, which housed the Jaws ride. There’s even a Jaws ride replica boat and roaming skippers.
Hot Wheels Back to the Future 40th Anniversary Set – $32.00

Honoring the 40th anniversary of the first “Back to the Future” film, this set comes with Doc’s GMC Value Van with authentic graphics and a 1:64 scale edition DeLorean Time Machine which can be “driven” into the back of the van.

This is the first-ever 1:64 scale version of Dr. Emmet “Doc” Brown’s GMC Value Van from the first “Back to the Future” movie. It is white with “Dr. E. Brown Enterprises: 24 HR Scientific Services” written on the side.

Packaged in a themed, protective box, the movie-themed diorama display showcases the Twin Pines mall parking lot scene, where Doc’s science experiment makes time-traveling history.

The interactive display box lets you unfold a ramp from the side, so you can slide out the diorama package just like the Time Machine itself being unloaded for its attempt at the world’s first temporal displacement.
“Back to the Future” was originally released on July 3, 1895. Universal has released a UNIVRS collection along with a larger collection of merchandise that was recently released. “Back to the Future” has also taken over Schwab’s Pharmacy in Universal Studios Florida with window decals and two themed milkshakes.
Both of these collectible sets will be available for purchase from Mattel Creations on July 24 at 9:00 p.m. PT.
