New Limited Edition Pluto 95th Anniversary Pins at Walt Disney World

Two new limited edition pins available at Walt Disney World celebrate 95 years of Mickey’s loyal dog, Pluto.

We found the pins at Disney Traders in EPCOT.

Limited Edition Pluto 95th Anniversary Pin – $22.99

This first pin puts Pluto’s face against a blue circle, inspired by the old Disney cartoon title cards. A white bone tag dangles from his green collar. A silver-tone “Pluto 95 Years” emblem is next to his face.

The second pin features Pluto wearing a band leader hat. The number “95” is behind him, and “Years” is on the bandstand he sits on. A “P” flag sticks up from his tail.

Both pins have a limited edition size of 3,000. They come on doghouse-shaped backing cards featuring Pluto’s name and a “95” logo.

Pluto’s design first appeared as an unnamed dog in The Chain Gang, released in 1930. He was dubbed Rover in The Picnic, released the same year. He returned, officially named Pluto, in The Moose Hunt, released on April 30, 1931.

There have been issues with recent Disney Pin releases, but this pin Tuesday seemed to operate smoothly.
