The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a Heat Advisory for most of Florida, including Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Orlando Resort.
Florida Heat Advisory
Central Florida was under an Extreme Heat Warning yesterday. A Heat Advisory is a step below the warning, but still dangerous. High temperatures will be between 93 and 98°F. The heat index (the “feels like” temperature with relative humidity factored in with the actual air temperature) will be up to 108 to 112°F. The Heat Advisory is in effect from noon to 7 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, July 30, 2025.
Affected counties include Orange and Osceola, where Universal Orlando Resort and Walt Disney World are located. Hot temperatures and high humidity can cause heat illnesses. People in the affected areas should drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioned areas, and stay out of the sun as much as possible.
When going outside, wear lightweight and loose-fitting clothing, and limit strenuous activities to early morning and evening. Do not leave young children or pets in unattended vehicles.
Take action if you see symptoms of heat exhaustion or heat stroke, like nausea, vomiting, flushed skin, rapid breathing, racing heart rate, confusion, agitation, and slurred speech.
