‘Let the Magic Begin’ Welcome Show No Longer Performing with Fireworks Due to Castle Repainting

In anticipation of the repainting of Cinderella Castle starting later this month, Disney is no longer running “Let the Magic Begin” with fireworks.

Every morning, Mickey and Minnie Mouse officially welcome guests to Magic Kingdom with the “Let the Magic Begin” opening ceremony, which takes place in front of Cinderella Castle and features several characters emerging from the castle.

Normally, “Let the Magic Begin” is performed every day at 8:55 am, which is reflected on the Walt Disney World calendar. However, starting Wednesday, January 28, there are no performances listed for the duration of the calendar, which currently ends on March 18.

We anticipate that this is the start of the Cinderella Castle repainting project. In preparation for that, the show is now being performed without fireworks. Watch our video below:
