Disney announced on the Wildlife Express Train and Affection Section webpages that they will temporarily close on February 23, 2026. The train is the only transport to Rafiki’s Planet Watch, including Affection Section and Conservation Station.

It’s rumored Affection Section, the area’s petting zoo, will permanently close but the notice only says it will temporarily close.

The Animation Experience is also expected to close and move to The Magic of Disney Animation, also opening this summer at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Disney did not announce a reopening date but the Bluey experience will open in the summer. It will include dances and games with Bluey and Bingo, a meet and greet, and animals from the Heeler’s home country of Australia.
