Thanks to Disney Magical Kingdom Blog on Instagram, we now have a construction update on the new experience coming to Toy Story Land in Hong Kong Disneyland.

Pixar Construction

Announced last year, an “all-new, exclusive Pixar entertainment experience” is coming to the park. Hong Kong Disneyland shared a map highlighting the experience’s location between Toy Story Land and World of Frozen. The experience will be “a first and unique” to Hong Kong Disneyland but further details were not announced at that time.

It was later announced that the expansion will be home to a new Pixar stage show featuring immersive theatrical technology. Disney is using cutting-edge theatrical technology at Hong Kong Disneyland for the new show. According to Disney, this technology “blends real and digital environments to connect generations of Pixar fans.”

Moving into 2026, the building’s main structural steel framework has now taken shape just beyond the current bounds of the land. The exterior details will be revealed later in the construction process.

The project is full funded by Hong Kong Disneyland and will bring a brand-new immersive theatrical adventure to the park for guests to experience for years.
