A WDWNT reader shared these photos of the Soarin’ screen during and after their ride. The projection lamp for the center of the screen failed mid-flight, according to the reader. Above is the golf course scene, with a big blank space in the middle.

Cast members at the ride’s controls didn’t see the failure so the ride continued. Afterwards, the cast member in charge of loading let the operators know.

Cast members gave guests re-ride passes if guests asked for them.

Soarin’ Over California will run through July 1, 2026. It will then be replaced by the brand-new Soarin’ Across America for the country’s 250th birthday.
