It appears that even more paper straws are making their way to Disney Parks! While paper straws are the norm at any Joffrey’s location in, say, Disney’s Animal Kingdom park, today we spotted some at the Joffrey’s kiosk outside the exit to the Tower of Terror in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
[Rod Serling voice] “You’ve entered… the Environmentally Friendly Zone.”
Stacks of them are available by the sugar/creamer area next to the registers.
They come wrapped in paper and feature a surprisingly playful (Dare I say, vintage?) design with a purple ribbon.
The flavor of the coffee remains unimpacted. (We are partial to Joffrey’s here at WDWNT.) We didn’t find the straw to be too soggy or disintegrate immediately, either, which is also appreciated.
All other Disney-owned locations, as well as the Starbucks on property, still offer plastic straws, however that may change as Disney does plan on completely eliminating the use of single-use plastic straws and stirrers globally by mid-2019.
