The Country Bear formerly known as Liver Lips McGrowl had a surprise meet and greet at EPCOT on Friday, July 3.

This bear was officially renamed Romeo McGrowl for the new Country Bear Musical Jamboree show at Magic Kingdom because “Liver Lips” is a racial slur. Romeo consequently debuted a new meet and greet look last year.
However, the version of the bear we spotted at EPCOT is the old Liver Lips meet and greet character complete with polka-dot bandanna and patchwork pants. He was meeting between the U.K. and Canada pavilions.
EPCOT frequently hosts “random” meet and greets as part of character attendant training. It’s also possible Disney is hosting extra meet and greets this weekend to accommodate Independence Day crowds.
