No, you haven’t been transported back to 1989, but it seems Disney is feeling a bit nostalgic during their re-opening and has released an awesome throwback to the days of Pleasure Island.
This blast from the past accessory proudly displays the Pleasure Island logo, complete with the infamous Funmeister!
The logo is printed on a black “dad cap” and features an adjustable strap, so anyone and everyone can wear it.
If you’re having déjà vu, that’s because late last year, Disney also released a Pleasure Island T-shirt with the same forgotten logo. The vintage design was printed on a light blue shirt, and was immediatly a fan favorite.
If you’re really looking to relive the glory days, don’t fret, because you can still purchase the matching blue shirt to go along with the new hat.

Pleasure Island was quite the place back when it was open, and in some ways very un-Disney. I went there a couple of times on our trip there and went to all the clubs. I recall rather scantily-clad hostesses walking around selling jello-shots in the outside entertainment areas – really! But it was a fun place with great food and drinks and entertainment. I still have some of the merchandise and may even have the original hat.
