The Taste of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival has been running since the park reopened in mid-July. Unfortunately, not all the marketplaces planned for the festival opened on time. We previously noticed The Donut Box was preparing to reopen and now it has finally returned.
This one-stop-shop for donuts made its debut at last year’s EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival.

*NEW* Double Chocolate Donut Holes with Chocolate Drizzle – $4.00
The chocolate sauce soaked into the cake immediately. There wasn’t as clear of a definition between the inside and outside as there was on the other two donut holes (which we review below). It was very doughy on the inside.
It had a rich chocolate taste, like a cross between brownies and cake. It was heavy but good.
*NEW* Sprinkle Burst Donut Holes with Purple Drizzle – $4.00
These donut holes had a birthday cake-like flavor.
They were soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. The sprinkles were a beautiful iridescent color.
These were our favorites of the three donut holes.
*NEW* Apple Fritter Donut Holes with Salted Maple Drizzle – $4.00
These apple fritter donut holes were soft on the inside and crispy on the outside.
There was no noticeable apple flavor like we were hoping for. Instead it was a spiced cake flavor, which was good.
The icing was sweet and cinnamon flavored, which was delicious.
Strawberry Smoothie – $5.00
The Strawberry Smoothie is delicious, creamy, and smooth—everything you want from a smoothie. The almond milk does make the consistency very thin and runny, but that’s a minor oversight. The donut hole sitting on top does become soggy quickly. However, dipped into the smoothie, the taste was an improvement from the donut hole by itself.
*NEW* First Magnitude Brewing Monarch Milk Stout, Gainesville, FL – $4.50/$8.50
This milk stout was very creamy. It didn’t have a strong aftertaste like some. It had a smooth and delicate taste.
It was very good, even for someone who doesn’t normally like stout.
Black and White Coffee Cocktail garnished with a Donut Hole – $14.00
The Black and White Coffee Cocktail is by far our favorite from the offerings. The cocktail has Jim Beam bourbon whiskey and a vanilla liqueur mixed in with the iced coffee and they definitely stand out while drinking. There’s a slight burning from the alcohol when drinking this cocktail, however, it takes nothing away from how delicious this drink is. The donut is solely made up for by the Chocolate Espresso Bean Crumbles which have a very strong taste but really make the donut portion of this offering, without the crumbles the donut would be average.
Location of The Donut Box at the Taste of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival
The Donut Box is located near Test Track in Future World East.
I bake for a living and those doughnuts are raw and how can you have a apple fritter with no noticeable apple flavor?
I’m hoping these yummy donut holes are available this Monday when I’m there and NOT just weekends!??
