In a press conference today, Governor Newsom announced that much of California, including Orange County, has moved back into the purple “widespread” tier of COVID-19. This is the highest tier of the emergency rating system, and could further delay Disneyland reopening.
The purple tier means that there are more than seven positive cases per 100,000 people. Disneyland and other large theme parks will not be allowed to open until the area falls down to yellow, the lowest tier. Right now, only two out of 58 counties in the state are considered yellow. Orange County was previously in the red tier.

Instead of the governor punishing the theme parks, due to a spread in the virus. Why don’t they focus on going after those businesses in California that don’t require safety measures in their establishments. Clearly Disneyland and the other theme parks shouldn’t remain closed, because other businesses failed to have proper safety guidelines. Disney has proven that they can open and not be a contributor to the spread.
Oh no!
