The Lotus Blossom Cafe is a quick service dining location in the China Pavilion at EPCOT. The Nine Dragons restaurant next door has yet to reopen after the park’s closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but the inside is now being used as additional seating for the adjoining quick service location.
The Lotus Blossom Cafe includes a small covered awning where guests can sit and eat their meal, but with physical distancing, that doesn’t leave many tables available.
Signs point guests into the adjoining building where they find the large dining room of what is normally the Nine Dragons restaurant.
There is significantly more space for guests to spread out inside. The air conditioning is a bonus as the weather warms up.
While we hope this restaurant opens sooner rather than later, at least the beautiful indoor space is being utilized in some fashion.

Tom can finally eat at the nine dragons. He just can’t order from their menu.
I hate the nine dragon restaurant. Years ago we ate there with the dining plan. When we were almost done, (the restaurant was nearly empty), the waitress came over and told us that we cannot have anymore chocolate milk. Jerk. We never even said we wanted more chocolate milk. What a horrible restaurant. We never went back again.
