The Main Street Confectionery at Magic Kingdom will be closing in a week for a months-long refurbishment. While the candy shop is unavailable, the Main Street Cinema will become a temporary candy location. It has closed today so this rearranging can begin.
For now, the marquee still says “Now Showing The Art of Disney” but it’s possible this will change.
This morning, there was nothing to be seen in the Main Street Cinema except a black curtain.
Because it is connected to Uptown Jewelers, the main entrance to the Main Street Cinema has been operating as an exit only during the time of physical distancing.
The other entrance inside Uptown Jewelers is also covered with a black curtain and blocked by a display of the Wishes Come True Blue collection.
How do you feel about Main Street Cinema becoming a temporary candy store? Let us know in the comments.
Just curious where they are going to move all of the art now which makes me not a huge fan of the move
Bonjour Village Gifts, we have since posted photos of the shop now filled with art.
