As we creep closer to October 1st, the 50th anniversary of the Magic Kingdom, refurbishment projects are ongoing across the park. Repainting continues around Storybook Circus at both Dumbo the Flying Elephant and Casey Jr. Splash ‘N’ Soak Station. Let’s take a look at the newest progress.
The shield crest atop the center of the tent at Dumbo the Flying Elephant is in tip-top shape now, having received a fresh coat of paint.
The gold paint had been flaking and chipped, but it’s now bright and shining in the morning sun.
The golden swirl accents beside the shield have also been repainted.
Over at Casey Jr. Splash ‘N’ Soak Station, the blue painter’s tape has been removed from one side of the giraffe car.
Some of the new paint was stripped when the painter’s tape was removed. Hopefully, we’ll see some touch-ups soon.
Tape removal has begun on the other side of the giraffe car, but some remains at the top of the car and around the “Giraffes” sign.
The elephant car is still behind planters, but we can see that the trim has been painted from yellow to bronze.
Stay tuned to WDWNT for more updates on the ongoing refurbishments at the Magic Kingdom.
