Hello from another lovely day here at the Magic Kingdom! We had perfect park-going weather today, and we took advantage of it by checking out what might be new at the Magic Kingdom. We had a quiet day, but we still found some interesting things to show you, so let’s get started!
As usual, we started our day by taking a look at the painting progress at the Transportation and Ticket Center. As of this morning, only six supports have yet to be painted blue, all of which are close to the exit.
Inside the park, work is progressing quickly on the concrete replacement in Tomorrowland. Large sections are scored in preparation for removal all across the iconic gear pavement.
Painting is progressing nicely on the Casey Jr.’s Splash ‘N’ Soak Station train cars. The painters tape has been removed completely from the giraffe car.
The elephant car, which was originally trimmed in bronze, is now being painted again in gold.
Nearby, the camel car has had it’s trim sanded in preparation for repainting.
Installation of electrical elements continues on the illuminated canopy of TRON Lightcycle / Run. We could see wires hanging down from the structure all around the worker in his man lift today.
We found fresh pavement blocked off from guests in a corner near the temporarily unavailable Hall of Presidents in Liberty Square today.
Early in the morning, we found filming taking place at various locations around the park.
Agrabah Bazaar was open again today as a standing table area.
It was a good day for pin collectors today, with three new finds, starting with this Magical Mystery Pins blind bag. This is Series 17 in the collection, and features character umbrellas. Each bag contains one randomly selected pin, retails for $6.99 each, and is available at The Emporium.
Next we found this Piglet from “Winnie The Pooh” open edition pin at Frontier Trading Post for $9.99.
Lastly, we found this “It’s Always Tea Time” Mad Hatter from “Alice In Wonderland” open edition pin for $9.99 at The Emporium.
Also at The Emporium was this new MagicBand, a late arrival for the newest color trend, Hydrangea. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
We had a wonderful day at the Magic Kingdom, and we hope you enjoyed coming along with us. Have a magical day!
