The Disney Skyliner gondola transportation system’s EPCOT line will close for refurbishment from January 23 to January 28, 2022.
From Sunday, Jan. 23 through Thursday, Jan. 28, 2022, the Disney Skyliner line between EPCOT International Gateway, Disney’s Riviera Resort and Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort will be closed. During this time, Disney bus transportation will be provided for Guests to EPCOT. FriendShip boat service is also available for EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s BoardWalk Resort and Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts.
We expect that the Disney Skyliner line servicing Disney’s Hollywood Studios from Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, and the line connecting Disney’s Pop Century and Art of Animation Resorts to the Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort station, will remain open.

Really? It’s still brand new.
CLICKBAIT. It will close for 5 days. CHANGE your headline, unless Corless makes you write clickbait worthy ones. Pathetic.
You guys need lives. Meanwhile, you support sites full of people who sold dining reservations to tourists or who worked here and you “hated” previously.
How’s this clickbait???
Yeah, it’s the exact 5 days that I’ll be there next year. So as far as I’m concerned, it is a significant closure and I’m absolutely grateful that sites like this are reporting on it now.
Not sure why Disney would announce this so far in advance, but hey, it’s only for 5 days.
I appreciate that they did, since my trip is currently planned for that week and we’re staying at AoA. Gives us time to reconsider and think about whether it might be worth it to bump our trip back a week.
*phew* right after our January trip, we’re staying at the Riviera so the sky liner being down would’ve sucked. Hopefully this is to remove the decals. They look cool on the outside and all, but really interfere with the view once you’re inside. We always hope to get a decal-less gondola.
I agree. The art is nice to see but when you are riding one with it, the scenic view is obstructed because of it. They need to take it off the windows at least.
I was about to book for that week… that destroys my plans. Back to square one…! Any alternatives you guys recommend hotel-wise?
Stay at Beach/Yacht Club, Boardwalk, or even Swan/Dolphin. They are all within walking distance of Epcot, and you don’t have to wait for the gondola at all.
Hopefully this means the monorail is back on for Epcot by then
