Walt Disney World recently announced that as of today, July 30, masks would once again be required to be worn indoors regardless of vaccination status. This brings the resort in alignment with the recommendations from Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the wake of rising COVID-19 infections in the county.
Signs reminding guests to use face coverings indoors can be found across Walt Disney World. The signs are less prominent and numerous than in the past however. Where once mask reminder signs were displayed on doorways, inside shops, on the sides of trash cans and A-frame sandwich boards strewn around the walkways, now they are inconsistently displayed on doors, and rarely elsewhere.
Signs can be found on the doorways entering many of the Main Street, USA shops and restaurant including Casey’s Corner, seen here.
The Plaza Ice Cream Parlor also has signage in place.
As well as Crystal Arts.
The Emporium, however, is inconsistent. While the center doors have signs displayed…
… the main doors close to the entrance of Main Street, USA do not have face mask reminder signs.
The signs can be found elsewhere across property, like here at the entrance to Disney’s Beach Club Resort. Unlike the theme parks, here an A-frame sandwich board accompanies the door-hung sign.

Annoyed…. Really wish they would stop this madness
Not going and have to wear a mask. Cancelled a trip that was supposed to take place in two weeks yesterday.

Fauci literally said the reason for the new guidelines is because vaccinated people carry the EXACT SAME amount of virus in their nasal pharynx as an unvaccinated person. How is it unvaccinated people’s fault?
Vaccinated people don’t get severely sick from the virus & most times they don’t notice so they can give it to a person that chooses not to get vaccinated.
If the unvaccinated person gets it they have a chance that they’ll need to go to the hospital.
If they also had been vaccinated they wouldn’t have needed to go to the hospital!
We all have to wear masks again to protect the people that refuse to get the vaccine & put a strain on our health care workers!
Vaccinated people don’t need to go to the hospital? I wish I knew that before I got severely sick AFTER being vaccinated. Maybe the other vaccinated people I was around Trojan horsed the virus. Like you said, they didn’t know they had it and were told they couldn’t spread it. I just watched Dr Fauci speak the words, vaccinated people have the same level of virus as unvaccinated people. Covid is a problem but blaming a whole group of people is not the answer.
Because it is highly unlikely that another vaccinated person would get as sick or die as an unvaccinated person. And our vaccinated family (even our vaccinated 12 year old grandson) will be going in 3 weeks without any problem wearing our masks.
It’s the unvaccinated’s fault because they’re the ones in the hospital, accounting for over 90% of the patients being treated for Covid. That’s not a good statistic.
If people don’t get sick, there’s not a problem. The problem is people are getting sick and almost all of them are not vaccinated.
That’s not to say “breakthrough cases” account for zero hospitalizations, but that the gap between the unvaccinated and vaccinated is so large that it’s clear what the problem is. People need to get vaccinated for this to go away and provide relief to hospitals. That is clear.
I could write a few pages about the scientific answer to the question but perhaps you should take some time to educate yourself on this. There are more than enough scientific articles written that clearly explain why.
Really happy to see that Disney is caring about both their guests’ and their CMs’ health.

It was, and those selfish UNVACCINATED people started getting sick instead of wearing masks like they were asked to do. They are the ones getting sick, spreading the virus, and overrunning the hospitals. If people would for once think of others instead of themselves, we could have had this all under control by now.
Hospitals are not “overrun”. You are being extremely hyperbolic. The mask rules could absolutely still be optional today and it would be fine.

I know the Olympics are ongoing, but that’s some serious metal gymnastics to tie mask requirements to socialism. I don’t think that word means what you think it means.
Also, would you consider their 5th key of “Inclusion” socialism? If so, please by all means take your dollars elsewhere.
Cases in January are going to be through the roof because this is clearly a seasonally driven virus like many others. This madness is going to reignite again in the winter. You are better off cancelling and rescheduling.
Please stop visiting. If asking you to mask up indoors during a pandemic so that the parks can stay open is too much to ask, then nothing Disney will do will meet your expectations. This is a private business making a decision based on public health. It has nothing to do with socialism.
The parks can make masks optional and still remain open. You are giving a false choice.
