Vacationing at the Universal Orlando Resort often involves long days in the parks, but chilling by the resort pool is just as much fun. While staying at Loews Sapphire Falls Resort recently, we enjoyed a day of fun in the sun hanging out by the pool. Drhum Club serves up a large variety of adult beverages and bites, which are perfect for sipping and snacking while kicking back and relaxing.
Creamsicle – $16
Blue Chair Vanilla Rum, Light Rum, Vanilla Ice Cream, Mango
You can order food and drink directly from the bar or from one of the servers that walk around the pool. Nothing is better than having a frozen beverage brought directly to you while you’re floating around in the water. Talk about refreshing!
This is a sweet and sippable frozen drink with a strong mango taste. The taste of alcohol is almost undetectable, so this is perfect for those who prefer sweet, tropical beverages. You can always purchase a tooter of alcohol for an extra $4 if you prefer to add a little more kick to your drink. Either way, the Creamsicle is a fantastic option for a hot day!
Tampico Nachos – $15
Black Beans, Nacho Cheese, Sour Cream, Pico de Gallo, Guacamole. Add Fire Roasted Chicken or Ground Beef Picadillo for an extra $3.
Holy guacamole, this dish is huge! We were not expecting such a massive portion size for the Tampico Nachos. These are perfect for sharing and a great value. We added the ground beef picadillo to our nachos, and there was a ton of it. Time to dig in!
Crispy, crunchy chips are topped by a heaping scoop of guacamole, nacho cheese, black beans, a pile of pico de gallo, and a drizzle of sour cream. There are tons of toppings on this dish, and they last from first chip to last. Each bite packs a ton of flavor. The only downside was there just wasn’t enough nacho cheese sauce. Every other topping was plentiful, but there just seemed to be a shortage of cheese. Other than that, this was extremely popular with everyone in our group.
You can’t go wrong with a massive bowl of nachos and an icy, frozen drink by the pool! We would highly recommend both of these items for a casual snack from Drhum Club at Loews Sapphire Falls Resort. If you’re looking for a more formal meal, you’re just steps away from Amatista Cookhouse, another one of our favorite dining locations at the Universal Orlando Resort.
