Just last week, we announced Kali River Rapids was to reopen on December 16 after refurbishment. But like we said, reopening dates can and do change.

The refurbishment for Kali River Rapids, the fan-favorite water ride in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, has just been extended to January 3, 2022 and will reopen on January 4, 2022.

There is no known reason as to why the refurbishment was extended.
