The first booths for the 2022 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts “food studios” have been converted and had “coming soon” signs around World Showcase as the festival’s January 14 kickoff date draws near. Most exciting are the two new “food studios” for the year, which are almost ready to go!
Decadent Delights has been rebranded this year with a new name to lean into a pun on “art deco”., Decodent Delights is located on World Showcase Promenade across from the Port of Entry shop as you head toward the Canada Pavilion, and guests will be able to satisfy their sweet tooth with sleek desserts inspired by Art Deco, from the gilded glamor of the roaring 20’s to the bright pastels of Miami Beach.
A new entry this year is The Craftsman’s Courtyard, adjacent to Disney Traders on the Mexico side of the entrance to World Showcase from World Discovery. At this new booth, guests will be able to enjoy savory seafood and refreshing salads, inspired by one of the many hubs of the Arts and Crafts movement: the coast of California.
El Artista Hambriento returns to the Mexico Pavilion this year, where guests will delight in classic Mexican fare that’s sure to satisfy artists of any age. Highlights include carne asada and chocolate tacos.
Also returning this year is Gourmet Landscapes in the Canada Pavilion. Here, guests can savor stunning dishes artfully composed with the finest ingredients that have been farmed and foraged from the land. Enjoy wild mushroom risotto, beet carpaccio and other farm-fresh delights.
Cuisine Française is almost ready in, believe it or not, France. Here, guests will discover delicious French treats and baked goods, from savory to sweet—including a black winter truffle croissant and warm brie in a bread bowl, and they can pair their dish with a French wine or frozen martini.
Vibrante & Vívido: Encanto Cocina is located between Morocco and France, and will feature authentic Colombian cuisine inspired by the Disney animated film “Encanto”—like spicy ajiaco soup or a house-made empanada with chorizo.
In Japan, the very distinctive Goshiki is ready to celebrate the Japanese culinary arts with delectable dishes featuring “the 5 colors” of Japanese cuisine. Highlights include sushi donuts and sake.
Higher cuisine of the United States can be found at The Artist’s Table in The American Adventure, where guests can treat their taste buds to delectable dishes like beef Wellington or pan-seared scallops.
At L’Arte di Mangiare in the Italy Pavilion, guests can indulge in Baroque cuisine, prepared with rich color and dramatic flavor. This food studio will serve up arancini, ravioli and more.
Pastoral Palate in Germany is of course themed to hearty dishes inspired by the rustic settings where Bavarian Folk Art was painted, and guests can indulge in wild boar cassoulet, a red wine-braised beef short rib and more.
And finally, The Painted Panda is just about ready in China, where guests will enjoy decorative cuisine inspired by magnificent Chinese art, like General Tso’s chicken shumai or the char siu pork buns. Plus, there will be refreshing beverages like bubble tea and Chinese-inspired cocktails.
