“Image Design” Face Painting Coming to Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser

Image Design face painting will be available to guests of Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser at Walt Disney World beginning May 2. These galactic makeovers will be an add-on, like the Captain’s Table, and appointments are limited. Here is how it is described on the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser website:

Enhance your character with a personalized, galactic makeover right in your cabin! Our talented “image designers” are ready to create your out-of-this-world look in the style of fan-favorite alien species so iconic to “Star Wars.” Choose from a selection of eye-catching, face-painted designs for a look that inspires your unique story aboard the Halcyon starcruiser. Plus, appointments are limited, so jump to hyperspace and reserve yours as soon as possible!

  • Look for the blue “Batuu Approved” symbol in the species design examples if you’d like to wear a look in the parks, where only partial face covering is allowed.
  • The makeover experience will take place at the entry area within your cabin.
  • The cabin door will remain open during the transformation.
  • This is a face paint experience and does not include any costumes depicted in sample images.
  • Guests should arrive at their cabin 15 minutes prior to their service time.
  • Transformations take approximately 30 minutes.
  • The full price of the service will be charged if cancelled within 48 hours of the appointment time or for no-shows.
  • Participating Guests must be 7 years of age or older.
  • A parent or guardian must be present during the entire experience for all participants under 18 years of age.

To book, guests can call (407) 939-1800 between 60 days and 1 day before their Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser voyage. Headpieces are available separately and costume guidelines still apply in the parks.

Brittany has loved Star Wars since she was a child and can’t wait for guests to experience Image Design. “This is going to be another great step for our guests to really live this experience and live their Star Wars story,” she said. “I’m so glad we got to experience Image Design as a team. I resonate with so many stories in the Star Wars universe and being able to look like a Togruta is neat!”

Nick, another avid Star Wars fan, also shared what this special cast moment meant to him. “Getting to experience this with my cast member family is really amazing, and I can’t wait to tell our guests about this. It just takes the immersion to a whole new level!”

  1. They’re charging extra for make-up application? Can’t include this with the $6k to $12k price of admission. Wow. After I saw the jar of Pepperidge Farm goldfish at the ‘snack bar’, nothing really shocks me anymore.

  2. DO you frequently copy and paste your stories from the Disney blogs? The section regarding the Cast members is straight from a story on the Disney Parks Blog.

  3. The promo pics with lighting look great, and then we see the actual product which is horrible. Even if it was great, another upcharge to this pricey experience is stupid. #fail
