More Splash Mountain signage has been removed as the attraction is transformed into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom.

The Lightning Lane and Stand-By Entrance signs are now gone.

From the Walt Disney World Railroad, we could see where the posts for the signs used to be.

Most signage was removed weeks ago.

The MagicBand “tapstiles” are also gone from what was the Lightning Lane entrance.

The crate hid wiring and the control panel for the MagicBand system. It still sits there but has been disconnected.

Splash Mountain Façade

Over on the mountain, it looks like the hole cut into the façade is growing.

The holes expose the steel frame of the mountain beneath.

Scaffolding covers most of the front of the mountain.

We noticed more scaffolding has been installed near the tree on top.

A hole was previously cut into the façade near the roots of the tree.

Although the tree was originally part of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure concept art, it was later revealed that it would be removed as the ride’s backstory was altered.

We would guess the scaffolding reaching towards the tree means it is coming down sooner rather than later.

Splash Mountain Flume

Down beneath the Frontierland bridge, we noticed something hanging off the wall inside one of the tunnels.

Sections of the façade have been demolished down here, as well. The large holes are covered with tarps when crews aren’t actively working on them.

We noticed more of the façade had been chipped away just inside the tunnel.

Splash Mountain closed permanently in January at Walt Disney World and will close at Disneyland later this year. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is set to replace the attraction in 2024. Read our complete history of Splash Mountain for a look back at the classic log flume ride.

Disney says that in the upcoming attraction, guests will “join Princess Tiana and jazz-loving alligator Louis during Mardi Gras season as they prepare to host a one-of-a-kind celebration for the people of New Orleans.”

The attraction takes place after the events of “The Princess and the Frog.” Tiana’s Foods is an employee-owned community food co-op established by Tiana in 1927, following the success of her restaurant, Tiana’s Palace. The co-op is housed inside a salt mine, with growers planting crops along the old Splash Mountain waterway. Guests will ascend through a mill house built into the side of the mountain.
