Beginning on May 17, Off the Hook poolside dining at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, will offer casual, grab-and-go breakfast and a coffee bar from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. daily.
Menu offerings will include classic Mickey waffles, buttermilk pancakes, French toast, eggs, and more.
As usual, regular beverage services will begin at 10:00 a.m. and non-breakfast food will be available at 11:00 a.m. Off the Hook closes at 9:00 p.m. each night.
Off the Hook is designed to resemble a Hawai’ian fisherman’s seaside shack, with cowry-shell lures, shark-tooth knives, fishhooks, and fish-shaped ku‘ulo stones once used as decoys. It is located in the Waikolohe Valley pool area, near the entrance to the beach. It’s also adjacent to ‘AMA‘AMA – Contemporary Island Cooking.
Also starting on May 17, Wailana Bar will no longer offer coffee in the mornings. It will now be open from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for their normal full bar service and takeaway menu.
Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa
Aulani opened in 2011 on the islands of Oahu. It was Disney’s third standalone hotel that is not near a theme park, after Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort and Disney’s Vero Beach Resort. “Aulani” in Hawaiian is loosely translated as “orange,” “with deep messages,” or “message from the chief.” Then-Imagineer Joe Rohde was the lead designer of the Disney Vacation Club resort.
Several Disney characters, including Duffy’s friend ‘Olu Mel, meet with guests at Aulani.
“American Idol” usually films episodes at Aulani once per season.
Last year, Aulani Cast Members participated in the Honolulu Pride parade for the first time.
