The crab is decent with a little bit of spice. This is way better than last year with a tangy flavor from the slaw. The brioche roll is also an improvement. We rate this a 6 out of 7.

This year, the dessert has dark chocolate instead of milk chocolate. However, we could not tell a difference. It has bitterness, but we definitely think it is milk chocolate. This dish is a downgrade from the previous version. The presentation is still great, though. We rate this a 2 out of 7.

Crooked Can Brewing Company Fantasia Fusion IPA, Winter Garden, FL (5.4% ABV) – $6.00 for 6 oz., $9.75 for 12 oz.

From correspondence with Crooked Can Brewing Company: “This IPA blends the bold hoppy notes of an American IPA, bursting with citrus and tropical fruit aromas, this brew takes you on a journey through an orchestra of hops. Each sip reveals layers of complexity, with a harmonious balance of bitterness and malt sweetness. Let the magic of Fantasia transport you to a realm where imagination knows no bounds. Cheers to a fusion of flavor and fantasy in every glass!”

von Trapp Brewing Bohemian Pilsner, Stowe, VT (5.4% ABV) – $6.00 for 6 oz., $9.75 for 12 oz.

From von Trapp Brewing: “Here is our award-winning interpretation of the original Czech-style pale lager. Spicy and zesty aromatics from Saaz hops combine with notes of honey and hay from continental Pilsner malt to create a fulfilling and quenching bright lager with a dry and subtly bitter finish.”

*NEW* Southern Tier Brewing Co. Caramel Cookie Bar Imperial Stout, Lakewood, NY (10.0% ABV) – $6.00 for 6 oz., $9.75 for 12 oz.

From Southern Tier Brewing Co.: “Satisfy your sweet tooth! Milk chocolate and gooey caramel wrap around sweet cookie for a smooth taste of your favorite candy bar. Take a break from ordinary and taste something so crave-worthy, one is never enough!”

Charles Heidsieck Brut Réserve Champagne, Reims, France ($70/bottle) – $12.00

According to Charles Heidsieck, this champagne has “an elegant nose : freshly baked brioche, roasted notes and ripe, sun-kissed fruits – mango, apricot, mirabelle plum- as well as dried fruits, pistachio and almond… The texture evokes the crunch of a layer of creamy nougat, with fleshy fruits like plums and cherries. The smoothness is provided by the selection of reserve wines. The finish reveals amber and vanilla notes as well as a touch of praline.”
