In alliance with Star Wars Celebration coming to Orlando, Disney will be holding an after-hours hard ticket event at Hollywood Studios called “Star Wars: Galactic Nights”. Star Wars: Galactic Nights will take place on April 14, 2017, from 7:00 PM to midnight. Tickets are available for $124 per child and $129 per adult (plus tax). It is $119.00 for adults and $113.00 for children if you are an Annual Passholder.
Guests are invited to put on your finest Star Wars-themed costumes and attire (permitting costume guidelines), and walk the red carpet toward an intergalactic introduction—followed by a whole universe of event entertainment and interactive fun, from a park-wide scavenger hunt to Star Wars Character encounters and more.

After a brief pre-show warm-up featuring the hosts of the Star Wars Show, hear from a Star Wars feature film cast member. As your host asks question after riveting question, their stories will be yours—including what it was like to perform before an audience of millions.

Following a pre-show with the hosts of the Star Wars Show, learn what it takes to make some of cinema’s most beloved moments, as experienced by one of the Saga’s behind-the-scenes wizards. Their adventures will be yours as this special crew member explains all that goes into bringing the world—and worlds—of Star Wars to life.

While you adventure through the forest of Endor en route to your flight with Star Tours – The Adventures Continue, prepare for a curious encounter with a few furry village inhabitants.

Clear the way for Darth Vader as the feared-and-revered Sith Lord leads a battalion of Stormtroopers down Hollywood Boulevard during a dramatic Imperial March to the event stage.
- March of the First Order
Clear the way for Captain Phasma as this ruthless commander leads her squad of Stormtroopers up Hollywood Boulevard in a daunting demonstration of the First Order’s obedience and strength.
- Characters at Star Wars Launch Bay
Visit the Cantina at this popular Disney’s Hollywood Studios destination for a chance to interact with the most notorious bounty hunter in the galaxy, Boba Fett—and possibly even Darth Vader himself!
The event will also be host to an exclusive scavenger hunt. During the Seize the Saga Scavenger Hunt, you’ll be enlisted to find 8 takeaway clues located at each of the Star Wars photo backdrops. After gathering the clues, Guests will be encouraged to act out their very own mini scene or capture a heartfelt message about their love for Star Wars—and post your moment on social media during the event.
The event hub will be a stunning, interactive projection featuring iconic Star Wars scenery. After guests witness a celebrity motorcade leading to the Rebel Base, you head to the main stage to find your home for ongoing event information, hosted shows, interactive moments, a DJ dance party and more.

So it’s a 1 night Star Wars Weekends event that costs extra. I can’t wait for EPCOT’s 1 night only Worldwide Wine and Food event.

Then don’t buy a ticket. Exclusive events/offers are tried and true in the business world. It’s not greed if you have willing buyers.

Scott is an example of American education system and business acumen. Meaning dumb as a brick! This is a way for parks to close early, and charge double admission same day. That’s all. Both sets of crowds will experience cut backs, long lines, poor safety and poor service. That’s greed.
A very short time from now there will be a morning slot, main slot, and after hours. Each full price. It is greed. They offer very little for the money. Good companies find ways to give customers the most, for the least. Disney tries to give the least for the most.
Best line ever Larry. Disney MUST sit in a board room and figure ways to cheapen their product and give LESS to customers. Meanwhile, Comcast, Amazon, many other companies making much better profit than Disney’s theme parks are figuring ways to give customers MORE value, but still save company money. Interesting. It’s only the unaware, misinformed, and suckers too dumb to explore other vacation values who will remain. No future in that. Good thing Shanghai isn’t run by Disney, or I’d say all their parks are doomed to be subpar rape zones for the unsuspecting.
The truth of the matter is that Disney quality has taken a land slide. ? Has anyone seen the quality of goods sold by the Disney store now? And as for closing early to charge for an exclusive it reflects the directly on the executives running Walt’s empire.
Nothing to do with Walt. Has to do that Disney is now a movie studio, and their theme parks in USA are off a cliff in quality, safety, and just miking suckers as hard as they can.
I think what he means is that it’s not greed if you have demand for something, but just in a much more obnoxious way. Of course this is being offered during Star Wars Celebrations, so there’s obviously demand. The question of greed is more about the price point than anything else.
I’m sorry but this is worth the cost to meet an Ewok. I will be there the week before and am so sad we’ll miss this. :(
Feel badly for people when they pay FULL PRICE for parks being kicked out for a ‘special event’ (which isn’t special, just a way for Disney to make more $$) Really bad company outside of their movies. Really poorly run theme parks.
They’re not being kicked out, they’re just being asked to pay an additional $129 to stay or else they have to leave.
Yea..and they closed half their attractions, they closed all but 2 turnstyles and with security, it takes an hour longer to get in Disney that to board an international flight now. And they never give notice when park has same day event, causing you to have to leave early. Disney theme parks really know how to piss off their customers and few fans remaining!
Wow! You’d have to be a die-hard fan to fork over that much for a one-night event. This is even more than they charge for the Halloween party and that rocks. That and there is the danger here of repeating the screwup they had with the Villains’ Unleashed two years ago. That one-night event was so crowded people were complaining they could barely move in the crowd and the reviews were pretty bad. “Starwars Weekends” was great fun, but only a fond memory now. Hopefully when Hollywood Studios is completed we’ll get all the Star Wars we want, and not just for one night.

They don’t need it May 4th. Spring break crowd here. These events are to pad the lower attendance days. It’ all about $$.
Wow. There seem to be a heck of a lot of people out there who hate Disney, but spend all of their time reading long articles and dull press releases from the company only to spend even more time writing their ‘Mr Angry’ comments on a Disney endorsed site. I’m glad my life isn’t that empty. By the way, I’m not going to the Star Wars event, not really my bag, but if you’re a fan and can afford it then good luck to you. Nobody, not even Disney, force you to go.
If you life is not that empty, why are you trying to fill it with an amusement park?
