Favorites of Festivals Past – EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays

Making its debut this year, Favorites of Festivals Past takes us back to the future with dishes from years gone by. “Reminisce over beloved dishes—like Reuben croquettes and a decadent holiday trifle.” The 2024 EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays takes place November 29 – December 30, 2024.

We loved this. It shares some similarities with a pastrami sandwich, if you’re a fan of those. We’d definitely get this again on a repeat visit.

This is not at all a memorable dish. There is a nice balance of sweet and savory flavors, but it overall tastes like grocery store deli meat. It’s not worth your money, and you’re better off making something that tastes and looks similar at home.

While the eggnog custard here is good, we’re not fans of panettone. The more you eat, the worse it tastes. We don’t recommend it.

*NEW* Keel Farms Pecan Pie Hard Cider, Plant City, FL (5.2% ABV) – $5.75 for 6 oz., $9.75 for 12 oz.

From correspondence with Keel Farms, this is a “pecan pie inspired hard apple cider. Balanced sweetness with hints of pecans, spice and everything nice. A cider for the holiday season made with 100% pure [New York] apple juice.”

*NEW* Point Snow Pilot Pistachio Nut Brown Ale, Stevens Point, WI (6.0% ABV) – $5.75 for 6 oz., $9.75 for 12 oz.

From Stevens Point Brewery: “Point Snow Pilot is handcrafted using a blend of Caramel malt, Mount Hood hops, and savory crushed pistachio nuts.  The flavor of this delectable brew will help you navigate through the chilly months of the season.  Treat yourself – be your own Snow Pilot.”
