The skewer is delicious. The sesame peanut sauce is tasty and has a very balanced flavor. With the well-cooked chicken and the peanut sauce, this was a winner.

The meat lacks some flavor and is bland on its own. There is also cilantro, but it doesn’t add much of anything to the flavor profile. It’s a good dish, but there isn’t a lot of spice. There’s a small kick you get as an after taste, but it’s not a spicy dish by any means. There’s a lot going on here, so the noodles and meat overpower the spice. It almost tastes like you’re eating spicy miso noodles with some peppers.

Vegetable Spring Rolls with Citrus Sauce – $5.50

This is your classic spring roll. There’s nothing special about it, but it’s nice and crispy. The citrus sauce is pleasant here, we almost got some tangerine flavor from it that we found enticing. Overall, it was a good spring roll.

Bubble Tea: Classic Milk Tea with Black and White Boba Pearls (Non-Alcoholic) – $8.25

This milk tea is fantastic. It’s sweet, but not overly so, and the boba pearls provide a licorice-like flavor to counter the milk.

*NEW* Brew Hub Year of the Dragon: Dragon Fruit Lager, Lakeland, FL (5.5% ABV) – $5.50 for 6 oz., $9.75 for 12 oz.

From correspondence with Brew Hub, this lager, brewed to commemorate the upcoming Lunar New Year marking the Year of the Dragon, is an “American lager brewed with two row [malt] and flaked corn conditioned on dragon fruit.”

*NEW* Butterfly Lantern with Butterfly Pea Blossom Gin, Vodka, Prickly Pear, Lychee, Soda Water and Boba – $14.50

This doesn’t taste strong at all, which makes it dangerous considering there’s vodka and gin in this drink. Some of us liked this, some of us didn’t. The divisive ingredient is the lychee. It’s a rather unique flavor and if you’re a fan, you’ll like this drink. The bobas on the bottom of the drink are also lychee and they aren’t the popping bobas that are typically found at these festivals. They’re chewy. Overall, the drink has floral notes and isn’t overly sweet.

Kung Fu Master with Vodka, Triple Sec, Mango, Orange Juice and Soda Water – $14.50

The China pavilion has two things going for it: Nine Dragons and heavy pours. Whether it’s the drinks from The Joy of Tea booth or their festival booth, the pours are always large and in charge. The Kung Fu Master highlights and exploits this by being a drink that tastes very alcohol-forward and feels boozy. It’s a bright, semi-sweet, flavorful drink with a nice fruity flavor. It clearly has an orange flavor, though some in our crowd thought it tasted like peach. This was a crowd favorite. The price to have a solid drink like this isn’t a horrible deal, especially at EPCOT.

We definitely felt lucky with this drink. You can taste every flavor they use, though it’s heavy on the peach and pineapple of the piña colada mix. We found it to be very refreshing and delicious.
