Brew-Wing Lab flies into the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival for the fourth time to offer a variety of wings, sides, and specialty beers and ciders, and this time around, they’re getting some help from Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker at Muppet Labs. This year’s festival takes place August 29 – November 23, 2024.

*NEW* Unnecessarily Spicy Yet Extremely Tasty Carolina Reaper Pepper Curry Wings with Creamy Cucumber Raita – $7.75

A small paper tray containing several pieces of fried chicken, topped with a dollop of creamy white sauce, evokes a mouthwatering scene straight out of Food & Wine.

These are predictably hot. The spice was tolerable but intense, at least to our group who are accustomed to eating spicy offerings at Disney. You probably won’t find anything spicier at Walt Disney World right now. The sauce seems to be a paste applied to the wings and adds a bizarre layer to the texture before your mouth is overwhelmed by heat. Overall, this is a solid offering.

Traditional Buffalo Wings with Celery and Ranch – $7.75

Traditional Buffalo Wings with Celery and Ranch – $7.75

This doesn’t have the best Buffalo flavor. It’s pretty mild and borderline barbecue tasting. These are generic wings you could get anywhere.

Peanut Butter and Jelly Sticky Wings – $7.75

Peanut Butter and Jelly Sticky Wings – $7.75

These wings are arguably the most interesting item on the food menu, but one of our favorites! We found the flavors to work even though we didn’t have a ton of the grape gel. We enjoyed the crunch from the peanuts on top, adding some texture to the overall dish. If you don’t mind trying food that’s “out of the box” we definitely recommend this.

Garlic-Parmesan Wings – $7.75

Garlic-Parmesan Wings – $7.75

These are super greasy. It’s hard to even get to the point where you can taste the garlic Parmesan because they’re so oily. Overall, the wings were mediocre. They aren’t crispy at all. We suspected it would be hard to mass-produce wings for an EPCOT festival and were not wrong.

Impossible™ Buffalo Chicken Tenders with Blue Cheese, Celery and Ranch – $7.75

For the money, you get a big portion size. It’s rather good, with an enjoyable Buffalo flavor. It does have a bit of spice. We’re still pretty shocked by the portion, as it feels gigantic. The Impossible “meat” is tasty and the plant-based ranch cools down the heat of the dish. It’s definitely a great option for plant-based eaters or carnivores who just want to give it a try.

Fried Pickle Spears with Dill Ranch – $5.75

A white paper tray contains several deep-fried items drizzled with a creamy white sauce, perfect for any Food & Wine enthusiast. The tray is placed on a light-colored surface with an artistic graphic design.

These are pretty much your standard restaurant fried pickles. Note that they are spears, not chips. Some people think chips are superior. Some people like the spears better. We don’t really care one way or the other. The sauce on top has an unremarkable flavor. We would rather have a normal ranch.

Frozen Pomegranate & Raspberry Tea: Twinings® Pomegranate & Raspberry Herbal Tea with Orange Ice Cream Molecules – $5.00

This is more of a typical theme park slush type of drink. It’s got a heavy pomegranate taste. It’s advertised as having an orange ice cream crumbled on the top, but it’s much more like an orange popsicle due to the consistency and flavor. There’s definitely nothing creamy about it. This one’s not so much of a stand out since it has a much more standard flavor profile to a slush you could get anywhere. Still, the cup is cute.

Pickle Milk Shake – $6.00

pickle milkshake 4
Pickle Milk Shake – $6.00

This is going to be one of the most talked-about items of the festival. It’s super milky on the front end. It has a strong dill flavor that lingers, but the dill overtakes the pickle. We would get it again, but if you don’t like pickle, you will definitely hate this shake. Of course, the cup that you can take home may be another incentive to try it.

*NEW* Coppertail Brewing Smoked Lager, Tampa, FL (4.8% ABV) – $5.75 for 6 oz., $9.75 for 12 oz.

*NEW* 3 Daughters Brewing Pickle Hard Seltzer, St. Petersburg, FL (5.0% ABV) – $5.75 for 6 oz., $9.75 for 12 oz.

*NEW* 3 Daughters Brewing Palm Paradise Hefeweizen, St. Petersburg, FL (4.6% ABV) – $5.75 for 6 oz., $9.75 for 12 oz.

From correspondence with 3 Daughters Brewing: “Tropical haze takes center stage in our fruit-forward hefeweizen. As notes of coconut and banana play alongside juicy mango and pineapple flavor, every sip of this hazy wheat ale sends you straight to the tropics.”

*NEW* The Bruery Desert Flora with Hibiscus & Prickly Pear, Placentia, CA (3.5% ABV) – $5.75 for 6 oz., $9.75 for 12 oz.

From The Bruery: “Enjoy bright floral and slightly tart sweetness in this unique take on a traditional Belgian-style table beer. Easy-drinking with a balanced sweetness, this one’s best enjoyed under the sun or a sky full of stars.”

*NEW* Cigar City Peach White Oak Jai Alai, Tampa, FL (7.5% ABV) – $5.75 for 6 oz., $9.75 for 12 oz.

From Cigar City Brewing on Untappd: “The beloved and eccentric qualities of our White Oak Jai Alai IPA collide with sweet and juicy natural peach flavor for an innovative take on this CCB classic. White Oak spirals are used to impart sleek notes of vanilla and coconut to Jai Alai IPA’s bold citrus and caramel notes.”
