*NEW* Adobo Yuca Fries with Garlic-Cilantro Aïoli – $5.50
These were nicely cooked with a light, crisp outer layer. They have steak fry consistency and a generous amount of seasoning. The garlic cilantro aioli adds creaminess, but not much flavor to the fries.
*NEW* Fry Flight (Sea Salt and Malt Vinegar Fries, Barbecued Bacon Fries with Smoked Aïoli, Sweet Potato Casserole Fries with Candied Pecans, Toasted Marshmallow Cream and Caramel Whisky) – $7.50
All of the fries are cooked really nicely, soft on the inside and a light crunch on the outside. The salt and vinegar fries tasted exactly as you’d expect. The barbecue bacon fries were our favorite. They were perfectly seasoned, and the smoked aioli adds to the BBQ flavor. The sweet potato fries are the sweet option to contrast the two savory dishes. They have a cinnamon sugar seasoning. You don’t taste much of the marshmallow cream (ours melted), and the candied pecans add crunch and more sweetness to the fries. Of course, if a fry flight seems like too much, you can always order a single fry out of the flight for yourself! We even may be doing that ourselves to get another taste of the barbecued bacon fries. We highly recommend coming to this booth. It’s a great addition to the festival.
*NEW* Salty Dog Cocktail: Boyd & Blair Vodka ($33/bottle) with Grapefruit Juice, Ginger, Simple Syrup and Lime with a Salted Rim – $11.00
This drink is very good. It’s heavy on the vodka, so if you’re a vodka drinker, you will love this drink. The grapefruit and the simple syrup provide a nice sweet touch to the drink and the salted rim brings out the other flavors, although we didn’t taste the ginger in this. Overall, we really liked this drink and would recommend it if you are looking for a refreshing alcoholic drink at the festival.
*NEW* 81Bay Brewing Co. Key Lime Lager, Tampa, FL (4.2% ABV) – $5.00 for 6 oz., $9.00 for 12 oz.
From correspondence with 81Bay Brewing Co., “Key Lime Lager is an American lager loaded with bright, citrusy flavor. Lightly tart, incredibly refreshing, and distinctively Floridian.”
