Last Saturday, we noticed that the gates to Sunset Showcase had been torn down in preparation for the upcoming arrival of Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy. Well, it appears that even more preparations are underway as the arrival of a mystery construction box signals the eventual move of the current FastPass+ entrance queue to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith.

Here, you can see the planters we told you about in the last update. These replaced the gates that were usually there.

You see that giant mystery box? Well, that will be the future location of the new FastPass+ entrance as work continues on Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy. It appears they had to clear up space in that right side area to avoid crowding or bottlenecks.

If you’re getting a bit of déjà vu, it’s because that area used to be the old paper FastPass distribution area. The new FastPass+ scanners will be built into the ground, adjacent to the current standby line.

As that entire extra shed is coming down, the Single Rider line will also be moved over. With Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy pulling into Disney’s Hollywood Studios on March 31, there are bound to be many more changes coming to this area in the coming weeks.
