Last week, when Disney announced the arrival of a roaming Kevin greet to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, they also promoted a plush version of Kevin that was also to arrive. Since Kevin is a wild animal and would not make for a good pet, it figures a fluffy plush version would be even better.
Plush Kevin exceeds all expectations.
You can adopt a plush Kevin for $26.99. Adopt a pair of sisters and you can get them for $22.00 each! (Plus the cost of chocolate.)
We adopted one as the unofficial WDWNT mascot and decided to take it around the park and train it to do photo reports.
Things started out promising…
…although we clearly weren’t going anywhere fast.
And then… a chance encounter with fate.
Make sure these two don’t imprint or you won’t be able to take either of them home.
Adventures aside, we think this new Kevin plush is an amazing addition to the current Disney Parks plush lineup. The attention to detail in including separately colored patches of fur/feathers, as well as pliable, poseable legs and top body makes this a unique plush you can have tons of fun with.
Plush Kevins are available at select merchandise locations in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, such as Island Mercantile and Discovery Trading Co. If you’d like your plush Kevin to meet its life-size namesake, you can find her roaming around Discovery Island from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM every day.
