If you’re looking for a sneak peek at Disney’s newest live action film, make sure to pop into Walt Disney Presents at Hollywood Studios for a preview of “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil”.
“Maleficent: Mistress of Evil” is a fantasy adventure that picks up several years after “Maleficent,” in which audiences learned of the events that hardened the heart of Disney’s most notorious villain and drove her to curse a baby Princess Aurora. The film continues to explore the complex relationship between the horned fairy and the soon to be Queen as they form new alliances and face new adversaries in their struggle to protect the moors and the magical creatures that reside within.
The Walt Disney Theater is also showing a new preview for Maleficent. The doors depict the new movie poster that was released at this years D23 panel.
This new poster shows the light and dark of the kingdom as they battle for peace among the magical creatures and the royalty.
Beside the theater entrance is a new photo wall that’s perfect to pass the time while you wait for the next preview. This poster allows you to stand against it and have Maleficent’s wings and headpiece in the background. It’s sure to strike fear into all, as well as making a really cool picture for your Instagram.
As is tradition in Walt Disney Presents, there are a few costumes from the film that you can view as well.
Here we have Princess Aurora’s blue dress and Prince Philip’s outfit. These were worn by the characters at the start of the film when they decide to get married.
This is the blue dress that Elle Fanning wears as Princess Aurora. You can really see the attention to detail up close, with a leaf-like pattern woven in.
There’s also a still of her wearing it in the movie for you to visualize it better before you see it in theaters.
Prince Philip’s costume, worn by Harris Dickinson, looks very similar to the costume that we see Philip wear in the Festival of Fantasy parade at Magic Kingdom. The details on this costume are incredible, and the outfit is topped off with his red, satin-lined cloak.
There’s also a brief description of these costumes to give us a bit of background information as to how they will play a bigger part in the overall story.
Make sure to stop into Walt Disney Presents the next time you’re at Hollywood Studios to check out these exciting previews. You can also purchase your tickets now for Maleficent: Mistress of Evil ahead of its October 18 debut.
