A runner has tragically died during yesterday’s Disney Fall Feast 5K, part of Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend, according to WESH.
A spokesperson for Disney issued the following statement:
“We are deeply saddened by this heartbreaking loss, and our thoughts and sympathies remain with the runner’s family and loved ones throughout this difficult time.”
Disney did not offer details on the victim’s age or the cause of death. The Disney Wine & Dine 10K took place as scheduled early Saturday morning, and the Wine & Dine Half Marathon is expected to proceed as scheduled tomorrow morning.

Many years ago, in the final stretch of a half marathon, I saw someone actively getting CPR on the sidelines. This was just a few miles after being diverted around an ambulance whose workers were loading someone on a stretcher.
