Droid Depot & Savi’s Handbuilt Lightsabers Now Require Pre-Paid Reservations

Two experiences at Star Wars: Galaxy’s in Walt Disney World now require guests to pay the full amount of the experience at the time of booking: Droid Depot and Savi’s Handbuilt Lightsabers.

Lightsaber at Galaxy's Edge

Both the Savi’s Workshop handbuilt lightsabers experience and building your own droid at Droid Depot have had policy changes that require guests to pay for the full experience at the time of booking. Prior to this change, guests would enter their credit card information at the time of booking, but would not be charged until after checking in to the experience on the day of their booking. This adjustment in policy has not yet impacted Disneyland Resort.

Savi’s Workshop

Savi's Workshop

To build your own lightsaber at Savi’s Workshop, you will have to pay the full $249.99 plus tax per lightsaber when the experience is booked. Around 15 minutes before their reservation window, guests must check in at the location in front of Savi’s Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers with their reservation confirmation, photo ID, and the credit card used at the time of booking. Same-day reservations and walk-ins are still open as an option, depending on the day’s availability. There is a 24-hour cancellation policy in which guests will be given a full refund. Any no-shows or cancelations under 24 hours will result in a full charge. You can watch our video of the full experience below.

Droid Depot

Over at Droid Depot, each astromech droid unit costs $119.99 plus tax, and that full payment is required at booking. Guests should check in no earlier than 15 minutes before reservation time at the front of Droid Depot with their reservation confirmation, photo ID, and credit card used to book the experience. There will be same-day reservations and walk-ins, subject to availability. Like the Savi’s Workshop experience, there is a 24-hour cancellation policy. Watch our video of the droid building experience below.
