When asked during a press junket for “Fly Me to the Moon” what about “Jurassic World” made her want to return to franchises, Johansson said, “Everything.”

“I’m an enormous Jurassic Park fan,” she continued. “It’s one of the first films I remember seeing in the theater. I remember seeing it so vividly. It was like life-changing. It was mind-blowing. I cannot express how excited I am.”

The new film is penned by David Koepp, who wrote the original 1993 “Jurassic Park” film and its first sequel “Jurassic Park: The Lost World.”

“The script is so incredible,” Johansson said. “David Koepp wrote it. He returned after like 30 years to write the script. He’s so passionate about it, which is so awesome.”

Johansson said she’s been trying to get a role in a “Jurassic World” film for years and it’s “unbelievable” that she’s finally joined the franchise.

Johansson is known for portraying Natasha Romanoff a.k.a. Black Widow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as well as her roles in “Last in Translation,” “The Prestige,” “Her,” “Marriage Story,” and “Jojo Rabbit.” She’s working on a new “Tower of Terror” film with Disney.

“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” director Garth Edwards helms “Jurassic World 4,” which doesn’t have an official title yet. Frank Marshall, Patrick Crowley, and Steven Spielberg produce.

The initial announcement said the film would launch a “new Jurassic era.” It will focus on new characters and settings.
