During her recent appearance on “The Today Show,” Johansson let it be known that the movie adaptation of the Twilight Zone-themed attraction is still very much alive at Disney. She originally joined the project as a producer in 2021. “Toy Story 4” co-writer and director Josh Cooley is writing the script, with Taika Waititi of “Thor: Ragnarok” and “Thor: Love and Thunder” still attached to direct.

“Now that the writers’ strike is all over with, we’re finally able to dive back into polishing up this script, ” Johansson said. “It’s a massive, huge undertaking.”

Johansson added that she is a huge Disney fan, and is still set to be a producer on the film with her production company, These Pictures, attached to the project as well.
