Full List of 15 Walt Disney World Restaurants That Will Offer Mobile Ordering Starting Soon

When the Satuli Canteen opens with Pandora: The World of AVATAR on May 27th, 2017, it will be one of the first restaurants at Walt Disney World to offer mobile ordering through the My Disney Experience app. For those unaware of this new service:

Mobile ordering allows you to pay for meals on-the-go with the My Disney Experience app, bypassing the queue to order in the restaurant. Using the app, you can select any of the menu items, customize them as you wish, and pre-pay for the meal. Arriving at the restaurant, guests will simply tap “I’m Here”, which will notify cast members to prepare the meal. When it’s ready, you will be alerted in the app to pick up the food at a designated service window. Only credit card payments will be accepted for this service, with Dining Plan guests still having to use the normal queue, at least as of right now.

Disney of course tested this service in one form or another over the last few years, including the most notable test at the Backlot Express and Fantasmic at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Mobile ordering will be also apparently be available for the following counter service locations at the four Walt Disney World theme parks and Disney Springs:

  • ABC Commissary
  • Backlot Express
  • Columbia Harbor House
  • Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe
  • D-Luxe Burger
  • Electric Umbrella
  • Flame Tree Barbecue
  • Liberty Inn
  • Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe
  • Pinocchio Village Haus
  • Pizzafari
  • Restaurantosaurus
  • Satu’li Canteen
  • Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant
  • Tortuga Tavern

An exact start date for the service at all of these restaurants is still unknown, but we do know that at the very least Satuli Canteen will be using mobile ordering starting in May. More restaurants may be added in the future should the program prove successful

Please stay tuned to WDWNT.com for more information on this rollout as it becomes available.

  1. Well that’s interesting… it’s sort of like making Fast Pass for certain restaurants. Even if the line at Columbia Harbor House doesn’t look too bad, there could be twenty “digital” orders that are going to get served before the customer standing there in line. I don’t have a smart phone, so I will be one of the people stuck waiting. Might make me less likely to choose one of the places that offer it, at least during busier times of day.

    • I have heard that there will be a different area making the food for the mobile orders than for the people standing inline. Why not wait to see how it goes before deciding to boycott these restaurants?

  2. Melanie, but if you arrive after those 20 have tapped in you’ll be 21st! But those 20 won’t have to talk to staff at register or pay!
If you go to a restaurant that doesn’t have this youll be 21st and have 20 people in front of you still deciding and making there orders and paying!
It’s quicker for them and YOU.

  3. This is exciting news. We’re always waiting a little extra since we have someone with a food allergy in our party. Hoping this helps!

  4. I’ve been using mobile ordering on Tapingo for years at my college and it’s been great. You can order while walking to the restaurant and if you time it right the food is coming out as soon as you get there. This is a great addition and I’m sure it will be adopted by more restaurant chains soon.

  5. Any idea if this will work for dining plan? I read maybe it wouldn’t at first for Avatarland but eventually. I would hope so a lot of people use credits.

  6. This doesn’t sound any worse than any other restaurant that accepts phone or Internet orders, or reservations either.

  7. I wonder if the “customizations” will allow for allergy meals to be prepared. I would love to use this service but a couple members of my party have allergies and this would really be a waste if we have to split the order between mobile and in-person for that reason.

  8. YES! I cannot say enough good things about this. As a mom of two under five just going to our table will be a LIFESAVER. We go to Be Our Guest for the Soup/Masters Cupcake (I won’t lie about that) and this exact system. So glad to know it’s going to our other favorite spots!
