Tomorrowland Terrace Joins Mobile Ordering at Magic Kingdom, Disney Clarifies AP & Other Discounts Not Available

Following the success of the other establishments already running the program, the seasonally operating Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant at the Magic Kingdom will join Mobile Ordering through the MyDisney Experience app next week on July 11th.

Other Magic Kingdom locations joining the program soon include Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe, Pinocchio Village Haus, Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe, and Columbia Harbour House. The service is already offered at Flame Tree Barbecue, Pizzafari, Restaurtantosaurus, and Satuli Canteen at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, as well as D-Luxe Burger at Disney Springs.

The mobile ordering program allows guests to order at Disney counter service restaurants from their mobile devices and then pick-up the order when they are ready to eat. Check out our comprehensive review of the service to see how it works.

Sadly, Disney has confirmed that locations offering discounts will not be able to honor them through Mobile Order during the “launch period”, so guests will have to go to the counter and order the old way if they wish to get Annual Passholer, Tables in Wonderland, or any other discounts still.

Additional locations will slowly be rolled out over the coming weeks.

  • So you have an app, which has all of your information including your passholder information in it, but you can’t apply a discount? Sounds like BS to me.

      • To be clear…they can ONLY do and ‘account’ charge, charging to the card on your account, it just isn’t working with the Dining Plan yet, but once it does (I assume) then all your discounts (I assume) will be automagic. An issue that I HATE is how it makes NO sense that you have to PROVE your discount by showing your card (AP card, DVC card, ToW, FL resident) when your account is well aware of your discount eligibility, so Disney better buck it up and FIX this and stop profiting on our forgetting to ask for the discount and/or forgetting our AP,DVC,ToW cards, in this age where your Magic Band does everything (NOT). If you qualify for a discount and you use your Magicband, you should get your discounts.

        • The reason cast members ask to see your discount (and photo ID) is to verify that it is actually you that is getting the discount. There currently isn’t the technology to verify discounts through magic bands on registers as it could be unsafe with wandering eyes. But one day technology will be updated when they can gather enough money for it to make over-entitled discount holders less grumpy with the system.

          • You do realize that you’re also over entitled, right? You are way more entitled than people who can’t even afford to travel, let alone go to Disney.

          • I wouldn’t say I’m over entitled because I’m not the one complaining that I have to show my card. Sure I’m privileged I got to work at Disney in the college program. But I still followed the rules and showed cards and IDs as requested, and never once complained about policy. I had family put money together to fund me getting to Disney, but anything else I made was from working my butt off to serve ungrateful people such as, um, you…..

          • I’m not sure what “unsafe with wandering eyes” means? However, if a magic band freely accesses my credit card, I see NO reason why it shouldn’t access my discounts as well. If we’re talking security here, then if someone is making a purchase using my magic band, then I’d REALLY prefer they get the discount so that I’m not robbed of more than I should be. BTW, when I enter my 4 digit pin, I for all intents and purposes have verified my identity. And beyond the 4 digit pin they DO have those finger scanners you know?
Also, I have no idea what this all has to do with ‘entitlements’…whether I am the poor Slupps who save all their lives to go to Disney or live nearby and make full use of an annual pass, we ALL deserve to pay what we should pay based on the discounts we have qualified for. If I charged YOU 20% more everytime you bought something, YOU’D certainly be complaining (or plain stupid not to). We PAY for these discounts, so we should get them.

  • “… the seasonally operating Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant …” I don’t think I’ve ever been there in season. Maybe once. I remember once getting some Pad Thai from the Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant. That was several years ago. I haven’t seen this restaurant open since then.
