Zach Larson’s 10/14/11 Magic Kingdom Photo Report

WDWNT Reporter Zach Larson visited the Magic Kingdom on Friday and took a ton of newsworthy photos to share with us (Including New Fantasyland progress), so let’s take a look:

Some work being done to center street

Princess line was pretty long…

The base of all of these pylons in Tomorrowland are behind walls

The spinning Tomorrowland ball has stopped spinning again

Ummmm…

Stitch couldn’t seem to find the entrance to Carousel of Progress

Another planter covered for some reason

The entire Dumbo queue has been enclosed

Work is picking up since Dumbo is now set to open in this location in February

Work is wrapping up on the Mermaid rock-work

A ton of construction vehicles out and about…

Another look at the pylons

The Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade remains closed

The Diamond Horseshoe was open for some reason

Some decorations were put out on stage

Work continues on the Pecos Bill’s facade

If you take a ride on the WDW Railroad, you get a great look at Storybook Circus construction

The train station is coming along nicely

The Barnstormer building has be ripped apart down to the bare structure

The Swiss Family Treehouse is still closed

More and more little details keep appearing at Tortuga Tavern

The menu at the Golden Oak Outpost has changed

The chicken sandwich and all other meals have been removed, leaving only the chicken breast nuggets

The Skyway in Fantasyland is still siting there…

Walls are still up in the middle of Fantasyland

The castle walls haven’t made much progress

The Beauty and the Beast mountain range is nearing completion

Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid is looking great

Storybook Circus progress

Beauty and the Beast realm

The roof on Enchanted Tales with Belle is being finished

A smiley face on some unpainted rock-work

The final stretch of rock-work is still being made

Prince Eric’s castle has looked the same for a while now

More framing for rock-work popping up

Gaston’s Tavern

The Beast’s Castle

We take a trip outside of the Magic Kingdom to see Fantasyland from above. We find that the facade of the Contemporary is being worked on.

New Fantasyland from afar

The mountain in the Beauty and the Beast realm looks fantastic

You can even see an almost completed exterior for Bonjour! Village Gifts

  1. Those are fantastic pictures.  I feel bad for the guests that have come to WDW and have to look at all these fences and closed attractions.  We are skipping this year and will be back in later 1012 or early 1013 :)
